Nuno talked about his excitement for the opportunities ahead on a recent call with the WPB top 200 leadership team. He thanked everyone for making him feel welcome and set out his reflections after just over a month in role:

The global WPB strategy is robust and is the right one. We will continue to sharpen our focus on accelerating Wealth expansion; leverage our balance sheet by developing further our lending capabilities; foster innovation and accelerate digitisation and the efficiency of our operation.

Overall Nuno said we have a solid team, a clear strategy and now it is all about executing with pace.
|
Last week, Noel Quinn announced that Nuno will relocate to Hong Kong in the second half of this year. This follows the Group signalling at our annual results on 23 February, our intention to base more of the bank’s executive leadership team in Asia. We have no expectation for supporting functions and other members of leadership teams to relocate as a result of these executive moves.
|

Last month 17 teams and 300 colleagues from more than 10 markets were awarded a WPB Customer at the Heart award, for customer centred design, service excellence or delivery during Q4.
|
After 160 nominations, winning entries came from the channels, marketing, wealth servicing, mortgage operations, digital, international, claims and credit assessment teams – and more! They all demonstrated how collectively we can improve our customers’ experience. Check out this video to see some of the winning teams’ achievements.

HSBC Life Hong Kong have partnered with CMB to introduce HSBC Life Benefits+. It’s an InsurTech-driven employee benefits platform for our commercial clients, that mix and match group life, medical cover, wellbeing programmes and more for their employees.

It’s another example of how we’re leveraging HSBC’s connectivity in Asia to bring innovative solutions to more of our clients, tapping into the sizeable commercial client base, their employees and prospective customers.

It follows the pilot launch of HSBC Life Benefits+ for HSBC and Hang Seng Bank employees in Hong Kong.

Soon we’ll be rolling it out in other markets.

We want to break down the barriers holding women back and empower them to take the first step to becoming an entrepreneur.
|
That’s why we are partnering with female entrepreneurs to answer the questions every budding female business founder wants to ask, to help them to start or grow their own businesses, as well as to raise awareness of the HSBC Jade proposition.

|
|
|
Activity will be running across HSBC and the entrepreneurs’ social channels. Why not share or like some of the posts for our Hong Kong case study and Singapore influencer. Keep an eye out for our next influencer, Vivien Liu, founder of a Hong Kong based studio for Architecture, Interior Design and Photography, which will launch at the end of April.
